2023 Honda Civic Models and Prices

With Honda's new award-winning Civic, you can select from four models:

  • Civic Sedan.
  • Civic Hatchback.
  • Civic Si Sedan.
  • Civic Type R.

The standard 2023 Honda Civic Sedan model starts at an MSRP of $24,650. The Sport trim gets 37 miles per gallon on the highway and 30 miles per gallon in the city. Changing trim levels can also boost this model's mileage. For example, the EX trim level gets an impressive 42 miles per gallon on the highway and 33 in the city.

In comparison, the Civic Hatchback has a starting MSRP of $25,450, and its Sport trim gets 36 miles per gallon on the highway and 26 in the city. With a starting MSRP of $28,100, the Si Sedan gets 37 miles per gallon on the highway and 27 in the city. Finally, the returning Type R has an MSRP of $42,895, and it gets 28 miles per gallon on the highway and 22 in the city. Overall, the new standard Civic Sedan gets the best gas mileage, making the vehicle very efficient, especially for road trips.

Exterior

All the Sedan trim levels feature door handles that match the body color, as well as a fin-type roof-mounted antenna. Additionally, if you select the Sedan Sport trim level, you get a chrome exhaust finisher. Like all of the Sedan trims, the Civic Hatchback also has body-colored door handles, Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock, and LED brakes and taillights. The Hatchback EX-L and Sport Touring also feature heated power side mirrors.

Interior

The Civic Sedan has five seats and a tilt and telescopic steering column in all trims, and it has heated front seats in the EX and Touring trim levels. The lower trim levels offer a 180-watt audio system with eight speakers, and upgrading to the Touring trim gets you a Bose Premium sound system with 12 speakers and a subwoofer. The EX and Touring trims also include a Blind Spot Information System, and the Touring adds a cross-traffic monitor.

Technology and Safety Features

Many of the technology and safety features are available in each model. For example, each model has a 7- to 9-inch color touch-screen. The 9-inch touch-screen provides access to Smart Shortcuts, which includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and navigation apps. The size of the touch-screen varies based on the trim level you choose. The Type R also offers an exclusive feature: the Honda LogR Datalogger System. This provides real-time and post-drive feedback, which can help you learn about your vehicle and how it handles.

Trim Levels

Only two of the models offer various trim levels. The 2023 Honda Civic Sedan comes with three trims: Sport, EX, and Touring. The Sport includes an in-line four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine that gets 158-horsepower, while the EX and the Touring both offer turbocharged engines that get up to 180-horsepower. Trim levels for the Hatchback include the Sport, Sport Touring, and EX-L. Like the Sedan, the Hatchback's Sport trim offers an 158-horsepower, 2.0-liter engine and the higher trim levels come with turbocharged engines that can get up to 180 horsepower.
